Se realizó un estudio integral del Sistema Producto Miel en la Región Mixteca de Oaxaca, principalmente en algunas zonas de alta marginación como San Andrés, Cabecera Nueva, Santa Lucia, Monteverde y Santa Cruz, Itundujia; mediante encuestas realizadas a los apicultores se determinó si la región tiene las características apropiadas para que se produzca miel, dando como resultado que la zona es buena para esta actividad.También se conoció la problemática y las limitantes tales como; competencia por la alimentación natural y la falta de mercado, estas son los principales problemas que tienen los apicultores, para esto se propusieron alternativas de mejora como, organizarse en una asociación de apicultores, buscar otro tipo de mercado, solicitar capacitaciones al municipio, etc. para que aprovechen más este recurso.Es de importancia recalcar que al aprovechar y cuidar los recursos naturales se pueden generar empleos y de esta forma existe un ingreso a las personas que viven en lugares de alta marginación. --
An integral study was made in the Mixteca region of the state of Oaxaca, Mexico, on the System Product of honey. Some of the regions with the most interest were some of the marginalized zones such as San Andres Cabecera Nueva, Santa Lucia, Monteverde y Santa Cruz, Intundujia; after asking some questions to the beekeepers it was determined that the region had the proper characteristics in order to have production of honey, resulting that this area was adequate for this activity.Also some of the main problems and restrains for beekeepers surfaced such as competition for basic food and lack of a demand for honey. This made the beekeepers to look for alternatives such as forming an organization looking for different markets where they could make the most profit, with the help of the local government.We must also keep in mind that by protecting our wild life and natural resources it is possible to create jobs in margined areas such as these communities.
