Tiene como ventajas ser barato y 100% reciclable. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo obtener el tiempo que tarda en humedecerse el cartón corrugado a 100% de humedad relativa, para esto se hicieron varias pruebas de medición de peso y aw (actividad de agua) hasta valores constantes y así se determinó que a los 18 días se alcanzaba la humedad de equilibrio. Así mismo, se usó un método gravimétrico consistente en colocar las muestras en diferentes contenedores con soluciones saturadas que daban una humedad relativa específica, y se obtuvieron las curvas de adsorción y desorción del cartón corrugado a 25°C, y se realizó su gráfica de histéresis.
