  <controlfield tag="001">IA_The main objective of this work was the isolation of an amylolytic strain Bacillus subtilis to hydrolyze starch chains and the subsequent production of bioethanol, by employing two-stage splitting: liquefaction and saccharification. The conversi&#xF3;n starch to glucose is studied through the a-amylase and amyloglucosidase enzyme (AMG) produced by isolates (C1 and C3) of the microorganism of interest: Bacillus subtilis, grown in different carbon sources (soluble starch, cornstarch commercial and GPF) and subsequent fermentation to ethanol by the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The differences among tratments were evaluated by an ANOVA. The most significant results are after the sacchirifation stage. The enzyme with better characteristics spliting was produced in soluble starch (A3) with the C3 strain and this is definitely the strain with most due results, get an average of 315 ug splitting glucose /mL substrate, well above other treatments.</controlfield>
