  <controlfield tag="001">IA_tecnol&#xF3;gica que permite mejorar las caracter&#xED;sticas fisiol&#xF3;gicas y sensoriales de las frutas y prolongar su periodo poscosecha. En el presente trabajo se evaluaron los efectos antif&#xFA;ngicos y fisiol&#xF3;gicos de un recubrimiento de quitosano adicionado con aceite esencial de mandarina (Citrus reticulata) en mango ni&#xF1;o 'Ataulfo' previamente inoculado con C. gloeosporioides y posteriormente refrigerados. Las variables evaluadas en los frutos fueron: color de la pulpa y de la c&#xE1;scara, pH, &#xBA;Brix, firmeza, acidez titulable (AT), respiraci&#xF3;n, producci&#xF3;n de etanol y acetaldeh&#xED;do, p&#xE9;rdida de peso (%) y da&#xF1;o por antracnosis. Se realiz&#xF3; un an&#xE1;lisis de varianza (ANOVA) bajo un dise&#xF1;o factorial 23, donde los tres factores y sus dos niveles fueron A: temperatura de almacenamiento (22 y 10 &#xB0;C), B: Recubrimiento (con recubrimiento R+ y sin recubrimiento R-) y C: Inoculaci&#xF3;n con C. gloeosporioides (Inoculado I+ y no inoculado I-). Se realiz&#xF3; comparaci&#xF3;n de medias Tukey (?=0.05). Los frutos con recubrimiento mantuvieron valores de firmeza altos y retardaron el cambio de coloraci&#xF3;n de la epidermis y de la pulpa. Los &#xBA;Brix, la acidez titulable, la p&#xE9;rdida de peso y la tasa respiratoria de los frutos con recubrimiento fueron significativamente menores respecto a los frutos sin recubrimiento. Despu&#xE9;s de permanecer 16 d en refrigeraci&#xF3;n y 5 d al medio ambiente, los frutos con recubrimiento completaron el proceso de maduraci&#xF3;n y no presentaron da&#xF1;os por fr&#xED;o. El da&#xF1;o por antracnosis se inhibi&#xF3; en frutos refrigerados y con recubrimiento a los 10 d de almacenamiento.   The fruit of mango child variety 'Ataulfo' are considered as climacteric fruit with good sensory characteristics. Its production has increased as a result of climate change, and with it, its demand; however, they are highly perishable fruits and very susceptible to damage by pathogens. The main post-harvest losses are due to deterioration caused by anthracnose and cold weather damage. The application of edible coatings is considered as a technological alternative that allows improving the physiological and sensory characteristics of fruits and prolonging their post-harvest period. In the present work the antifungal and physiological effects of a coating of chitosan added with mandarin essential oil (Citrus reticulata) in mango child 'Ataulfo' previously inoculated with C. gloeosporioides and later refrigerated were evaluated. The variables evaluated in the fruit were: pulp and skin color, pH, &#xBA;Brix, firmness, titratable acidity (AT), respiration, ethanol and acetaldehyde production, weight loss (%) and anthracnose damage. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) was carried out under a factorial 23, where the three factors and their two levels were A: storage temperature (22 and 10 &#xB0; C), B: Coating (with R+ coating and without coating R-) and C: Inoculation with C. gloeosporioides (Inoculated I+ and not inoculated I-). Tukey mean comparison was performed (p?0.05). The coated fruit maintained high firmness values and delayed the change of coloration of the epidermis and pulp. The &#xBA;Brix, the titratable acidity, the weight loss and the respiratory rate of the coated fruit were significantly lower compared to uncoated fruit. After remaining 16 d in refrigeration and 5 d at room temperature, the coated fruit completed the ripening process and did not show any damage by cold temperature. Anthracnose damage was inhibited in refrigerated and coated fruits up to 16 d of storage.</controlfield>
