La zarzamora en los últimos años ha presentado un incremento en la superficie plantada y de producción, esto a pesar de que es un cultivo costoso pero que también es rentable. Michoacán el es principal Estado productor de esta frutilla en la República y dentro de el, Los Reyes es el municipio que presenta la mayor producción en el Estado, con un estimado de 2,500.00 toneladas para el año 2005, presentando rendimientos estimados de 10 toneladas/ha en este mismo año de las cuales alrededor del 30% es destinada a proceso. Esto representa una oportunidad para el establecimiento de agroindustrias en la región. Por ello surge este estudio que ofrece una alternativa a los productores del municipio para dar valor agregado a su producto y así ofrecer al mercado de consumo de las mermeladas un producto de alta calidad en presentaciones prácticas. Para la realización de este estudio se realizó un estudio técnico y económico sobre el proyecto arrojando resultados importantes para la toma de decisión. El proyecto requiere de una inversión de $2,805,107.00, de los cuales el 89.8% será financiado por un crédito de avío para el capital de trabajo y otro refaccionario para cubrir parte de la inversión fija, estos créditos serán solicitados a FIRA. El restante 10.2% será aportación de los socios. La recuperación de la inversión tomara 3 años. El indicador que nos señala si el proyecto es rentable es la TIR (Tasa Interna de Retorno) que resulto ser de 103.5% para la evaluación privada y 61.2% para la empresa, comparando estos valores con la TREMA (Tasa de Rentabilidad Mínima Aceptable) de 30% y al ser superiores resulta rentable el proyecto, además los valores del VAN (Valor Actual Neto) resultaron positivos. La relación beneficio/costo resulto ser de 1.53. Este proyecto no solo tiene beneficios económicos sino también sociales pues contribuye a la creación de empleos. Por todo lo anterior se recomienda la puesta en marcha de este proyecto por resultar factible tanto técnica, económica y socialmente. Blackberries in Mexico have shown in the last years an important increase in the planting hectarage. The State on Michoacan is the first producer of blackberry, and Los Reyes is the municipality with the greatest production of the Estate, with an estimated 2500.00 tons of fruit for the year 2005 with an estimated yield on 10 ton ha-1 of the total amount of amount about 30% is destine for processing. This represents an opportunity for the establishment of an agro industry in the zone. This study offers an alternative for growers of the municipality to give a plus to the value to their product and offer to the marmalade consumers a high quality product in a practical presentation (display). The analysis of this project was made with a technical and economical feasibility study, giving the necessary elements for the decisions taking. The project requires an investment of $2,805,107.00. The and the 89,8% of this amount will be financed trough a loan credit and part of the fix assets investments, this credits will be required to FIRA. The remaining 10,2% will be a contribution by the members. The period of recovery of the investment is of three years. The indicator TIR (Internal Revenue Rate) that tells if the project is profitable is resulted in a value of 103.5% for the partners evaluation and 61,2% in the evaluation of the project. Comparing these values with the TREMA (Minimum Acceptable Rate of Rentability) of 30%, the project proves to be rentable also considering the positive value of the VAN (Actual Net Value). The relation of benefit-cost resulted in 1.53. Beside this project also has a social benefit by contributing to the creation of new jobs. For all this reasons it is recommendable the installation and operation of this processing plant for its technical and economic feasibility and also for the social impact.
